COBY’s Bike-n-Hike

This outreach is the 2nd Sunday of Sept. at the Lititz Church of the Brethren.  COBYs (Church of the Brethren Youth Services) is a ministry that assists in the raising of children, supporting families, & foster care operated by the Church of the Brethren.

 Ugly Quilters

A group of ladies meet most Tuesday afternoons through the year to make quilts for the homeless or sick.  The ministry also crochets and knits prayer shawls and lap blankets that are distributed in nursing homes.

Love Inc. 

Love, Inc. is a clearing house ministry.  It is a place for church members to offer their talents in loving their neighbor by sharing their talents.

 Lancaster County Council of Churches

The unity of churches to serve the community is a calling.  This ministry assists the county in various ways of coming together for a common good.


 Ephrata Area Homes of Hope

Homes of Hope is a transition ministry of the Ephrata area for people working to find permanent housing.  The church serves as a charter member of this local ministry.

 Ephrata Area Social Services

The church supports this ministry financially and with talents in supporting the clothing bank, the food bank, and assisting in meeting other local needs.

CROP Walk 

This outreach is a community planned ministry for the 3rd Sunday in October.  This ministry benefits food relief locally and worldwide.

 Released Time

The Released Time Bible Program ministers to public school students, offering biblical instruction for one hour a week during the school day.  We welcome 3rd-4th Graders from Akron Elementary throughout the school year for lunch.

 ACOB Food Bank

Each month, different food, paper and personal hygiene products are collected at the church and donated to our food bank as well as other local food banks.

Central PA Blood Bank 

The church supports the gift of life by encouraging members to donate blood as one is able.

 Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services

A ministry to offer proper biblical teaching and council within the community in regards to God’s plan of sexuality.

Pennsylvania Council of Alcohol Problems 

PCAP is a ministry that promotes the education of alcohol problems, and assistance in recovery.  We have various Anonymous meetings that meet regularly in our church meeting areas.
